TOPMEDIA - Academy Award atau disebut juga piala Oscar, baru saja merilis daftar nominasi untuk bersaing di tiap kategori. Acara penghargaan film Amerika untuk menghargai karya dalam industri film tahun 2022.

Berbagai kategori pemenang akan diberikan penghargaan berupa sebuah salinan patung oleh Academy Award of Merit, yang lebih dikenal dengan julukan Oscar. Film Western produksi Jane Campion, The Power of the Dog dan film fiksi ilmiah sutradara Denis Villeneuve dengan judul Dune mendominasi daftar nominasi penghargaan.

Film The Power of the Dog menggandeng distributor Over the Top (OTT) Netflix. Mengusung tema maskulinitas beracun, mendominasi Academy Awards dengan 12 nominasi, terbanyak dari semua film. Diikuti oleh Dune, sebuah adaptasi dari novel fiksi ilmiah populer yang pernah diyakini tidak dapat difilmkan mendapatkan 10 nominasi Oscar.
